April Gardening for Good is at Meigs Point!

The Gardens at Meigs Point Nature Center, in Hammonasset State Park in Madison, include 11 themed demonstration gardens designed to provide incentive for homeowners and community members to take ideas home for their own local landscapes, particularly focusing on the importance of native plants to support pollinators and other beneficial wildlife. Maureen Egan coordinates the garden activities and works with an incredible group of volunteers-- many of them Master Gardeners -- that make these maintained gardens possible. We will find out more about how the gardens came to be, and the power of a good idea backed up by commitment and a lot of hard work. Best part is you can visit for free!
