"Wild Ones: Native Plants, Natural Landscapes” https://wildones.org/ is a not-for-profit organization promoting environmentally friendly landscaping to preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration, and establishment of native plant communities. Wild Ones is a national membership organization with headquarters located in Wisconsin and chapters throughout the United States and Canada.

 

At the local level, the Connecticut “Mountain Laurel” Chapter supports the organization’s goals by offering and actively participating in educational workshops, community outreach, and hands-on creation and maintenance of ecologically functional landscaping and wildlife-friendly habitats using native plants. The Mountain Laurel Chapter is sponsored by the Connecticut College Arboretum in New London.
